I had a missed call from this number and having read here that it was a debt collection company I panicked that I had forgotten to pay something! So the man on the phone searched my number and in the meantime asked for my surname. I replied that surely he should know my surname as it was them who called me. He then said he could see on the system that they had dialed a wrong number and I would be removed from the system. Not 5 minutes later I received a call from a mobile number unknown to me. SCAM Had a number of calls recently offering a new iPhone. I don't use or like Apple products so they are wasting their time. 2 calls yesterday from 01208 247201 - missed the 1st, but they rang again withing seconds. As suspected, another iPhone scam call. That block of numbers is owned by Franzcom Telecoms in Bodmin, Cornwall. Something needs to be done to prevent these foreign scammers spoofing UK telephone numbers.

It claims to be from my bank saying someone is trying to take a large amount out of my account. I have checked my account and can't see anything wrong with it. It was also an automated service, so |I do not believe it.
Rang me today (4.1.23) with a very bad line but sounded like sales. When asked “where are you based” the line went dead.

On informing them that the person doesn't live here the phone was put down . I'm not with BT either . My Location Leicestershire Called on Thursday at 10.10 Block and report these scammers .

It was an automated call and they claimed to be calling me about a car crash I was supposedly involved in. Needless to say, I have not been involved in an accident. Typical scum cold callers.

SCAM - Pretending to be National Crime Agency notifying you that your National Insurance Number is being frozen and all your assets along with it. Probably an Indian/Pakistani poor idea for a scam. I sincerely hope Karma goes to these people and they live their lives in a depressed, poverty stricken slumber.

Cold called me said they were the Hearing Clinic in Derby asked if l worked in a noisy industry took my details Rang back to book a home hearing test. Next day rang again to book hearing Test with no record of me By now l am suspicious l rang them and asked them to bring up my details on their computer but couldn t do that because they were using the phone. I rang again and asked them where they were, they said Carlisle, l told them the last time l rank this number they were in Derby. reply was sorry sir

This is a computer scam. I played along in order to waste their time and to get insight into their methods. There is a warm-up act and a main act to follow. Their first tactic is to say they will cut off your computer unless you cooperate. They take you to Event Viewer administrative events in order to show you a scary page with yellow warning triangles and red error messages. Then to another caller for their main strike. Left a message on my ansafone claiming to be from Sarah Wilson at HMRC and threatening legal action if I or my solicitor didn t call them back immediately! Called back and spoke to a male with an Asian accent who gave his name as Kevin. He eventually hung up when I insisted on speaking to Sarah Wilson. I called HMRC who confirmed this is not a genuine call from them!
