Likely scam. They rang me. I picked up but didn't say anything into the phone. They didn't say anything either and then hung up. I always answer in this way when I receive an unexpected phone call from an unfamiliar number. Legitimate callers always say "hello" and try to get a response. Scammers hang up. It happens every time!

This is a scam. they try to get you to invest. they never give up and will use different numbers all over England. Each person who calls you is of Indian origins. Not possible in England not to have one person who is not and indian. Especially with Englands diversity. Just dont answer or hang up and block the number.
They told me that they are from Boost Energy (I m not sure) and talked me about prepaid smart meter, cheap tariffs and other stuff. I ll call my supplier if I want change my current offer.

Just wow!!! I advised him I wouldn t be purchasing any extra advertising and he spoke to me like absolute crap. He said, "Did I say you had to have any extra, NO" "I will now remove all trace of your company from bing.com, Bye" and slammed the phone down. SCAM Cold caller, pretending to be working on behalf of Microsoft advising me that I am being targeted by hackers. Goes through a spiel involving talking me through looking at the 'event viewer' utility on my PC and asking me to note the number 'Administrative events' with warnings listed in the viewer. This he advisies means that I am under attack - (BTW it does not). The tries to talk me into downloading 'anydesk' - I did not because it would allow access to my PC.
