28 Nov. 2022 (17:33) a chap with Indian accent called me claiming to be from BT to say that my computer may have been compromised and that he could check that for me if I switched it on and he ran a quick check. Trying to dial the number gets a message that one should "check the number and try again" because the number is invalid (which I hinted at being possible). This, to me, confirms it is a scammer, attempting to appear a valid UK caller but failing as they are unfamiliar with the rules for UK phone numbers.
