The first time I did press a digit on my phone (landline) and there was an Indian voice telling me that he was from bt, when I challenged him on that he mentioned vodafone and I told him to not call again.

The debt collections company called portfolio recovery associates having a call centre in Swansea (never heard of one there before, I think they buying loads of telephone numbers all over the country and diverting all calls to a central office as I called that number several times, stayed on phone just long enough to hear voice and no one spoke with a welsh accent. The caller knew I was involved in an accident and said he was instructed by the other party s insurer to pay out ?1000 for a non fault accident. He asked for my personal details and details of the accident. I refused to give my DOB and he said I should get receive an email. He then mentioned I would be unable to call this number but gave an alternate no. to call i.e. 01273 660 457 if I had any questions

Received a call today from 01942538691 which is actually a legitimate number from Brook Farm Cattery in Wigan. Only problem is the people who phoned me were Indian speaking and said they were from UK Benefits, PHYSHING for information in pretense of dong a survey, the information of which they then sell on to other companies and you end up getting bombarded with other unwanted calls.
