Paypal scam

Phone call this morning claiming to be from HMRC that I have an outstanding tax bill and to press one to speak to the legal team. I just hung up. Clearly a scam.

Text Message: This number sent me a text to say "We were unable to process your latest bill. In order to avoid fees, update your billing information via :https://o2-supportbilling.com. This is a fake o2 website DO NOT CLICK on the link.

Scam. Claims to be from HSBC trying to warn me about an unauthorised payee request. Honestly, as if times aren't hard enough without these scum bags trying to steal from working people. Lazy too as it comes from a normal mobile number. They should be ashamed of themselves on several levels. Lazy, thieving and incompetent. I don't know which one is worse.

SCAM: It says it's from Santander to approve a direct debit to someone I have never heard of in Ireland, has suspicious link.

Text received from this number to say that a new payee request to a Mr C Jones through my HSBC mobile banking app. If this was not me to visit a website. Total scam as I do not have an HSBC account and do not use their banking app.

Automated message saying it was HM revenue & customs and there was a tax fraud case in my name. I hung up.

SCAM / SPAM Rings all telephone numbers in house simultaneously -- then tells me money has been taken out of my bank account for my Amazon Prime service. (Which I don't have.) Thereafter, phone ceases to receive incoming calls; or make outgoing calls. THIS IS DANGEROUS -- for health reasons, my wife and I are dependent on a functioning landline service. Fraud An automated message claiming to be from national crime agency with warning arrest warrant has been issued and wants me to press 1 on my phone

Called by this number today. Automated voice saying from BT and that our internet connection would be cut off today. To contact BT press 1 or to disconnect your internet press 2. This is undoubtedly a SCAM!! DO NOT PRESS EITHER NUMBER JUST HANG UP.

Automated message claims that your national insurance number has been suspended and your assets will be seized. In addition, you will be arrested if you don't 'press 1 to speak to an officer immediately' and then cuts off

Caller who sounded Indian said she was from the telephone preference service and calling to say it had expired as - she was just getting to this - the bank card used had expired. She first asked how the telephone bill was paid. As the service is free I rang off.

TAXES / HMRC Automated message. Had similar before. “This is HMRC. You are under investigation for tax fraud. Press 1 immediately to speak to your case officer. Failure to do so immediately will result in a warrant being issued for your arrest.....” I did not press 1, so cannot say what happens if one does.
