telemarketer called claire working for a number of companies

A bunch of scam artists do not give them the time of day

around 20 calls a week recently complete pain

i am registered with Telephone preference service and when informed the manager (Richard) of this he was extremely rude and agressive

They call about the accident you were in. You ask them to remove the number because a) It is an unsolicited call and you have TPS and b) You have never been in an accident. They say sorry, I will update the records. Next day they call back, so you say the same thing over again, so do they but you add You said that yesterday and yet here you are ringing me again! They promise to remove the details from the database. Guess what, they just called me again!

Marketing phonecall. I blocked the original number and then they rang through on this number.

Contacted saying they were from yahoo and upgrading my website listing on yahoo. Trying to get me to log in immediately. I said not near pc!

Voice mail left telling me that some money had been taken out of my account from a foreign country please press 1 to find out more!!

Basically they re a fishing company, poorly-paid scammers doing blanket cold calling asking "have you had an accident in past 3 years" (citing they have bogus "information at hand") until, inevitably, someone says "yes". Cue then a selling job about how they can claim compo for you (for a % price). Not a scam; just a sad reflection of compensation culture and call-centre mentality. Hang up immediately; or if you want to be arsey, engage person in pointless conversation (though it isn t really his/her fault)

Moved on from oven cleaning, dyson and now onto carpet cleaning.. keep calling nearly every day.

This number has called twice and both times they put the phone down.

Call from agent for EE, which I managed to get them to verify as the number on my phone came up as possible fraud. My broadband/TV Box price has now been frozen by them for 18 next months, (EE previously sent me warning it would be going up at end of contract date) and a free upgrade to super-fast broadband, from fast. I note that this number has been cloned and this number showed up today and was Talk Talk (so they said) and I had problems with my router. I blocked so they called on another number a few hours later.

My surname ends with LTY, i got a call from this number and the guy calling kept repeating my surname but ending it TTY, he was finding it very amusing. I hung up and carried on...
