As I couldn't make him out properly I asked if I could phone him back. He kept insisting he'd tell me all about his proposition, so I put the phone down. I tried to redial his number, but number inaccessible.

I ve had three calls today from 02088523462 five yesterday, every time trying to convince me that they are "Microsoft technical" that my computer is "sending them errors". I know this is bs and decided today to have a nice long conversation with them about my background in networks engineering and how I know it is bs, but I understand that the guy on the other line is only doing his job and reading a script and that if he doesn t get abusive with me we should be able to resolve this. My husband had this message last night and thought I hadn't been paying the mortgage so a fraught 10 minutes which nearly ended in a row!!! I called the number from a landline and got no response so googled the problem on line and came up with these responses. So very worrying as I knew nothing was amiss. It came up as a +44 7093091089 number. Disgusting!

I called this number back and a young man answered, polite enough and answered my questions without any hassle. He said it was a PPI claim company in Manchester. When I asked why it came up as a Dundee (01382) number he said it's automatically routed to main base in Manchester. I've had 3 missed calls from them so did 141 on landline.
