Fraud says they were from BT and i had issues with my internet where someone had gained access and the IP address was being used in different place.
I had several calls from the company Web Security Experts with regards to renewing computer security, saying that 4 years ago I paid a membership fee, which I have no knowledge of knowing. They have threatened to take money from bank account. I searched from email and other correspondence from them but cannot find nothing. Indian man rang me at about 10:30am 26/7/2021 saying that they'd just been upgrading my Broadband and noticed spam being sent to me and hacker activity. Wanted me to turn on my computer. I put the phone down. Have fallen for one of these scams before with someone getting me to download AnyDesk in order for the caller to remotely take over control of my laptop. BEWARE!!

Started by asking for my wife. Told her she wasn't in. Then confirmed my name, said he was offering a call blocker for unrecognised calls for free. Mentioned that I paid for my phone bill by direct debit (who doesn't?) and then listed a load of banks, none of them mine. When I laughed he got annoyed and asked why. When I told him I didnt have any banks of that name, did he just want my sort code and account number, he was talking over me and telling me to listen!!! Cut him off. Be warned.

I had a minor motor incident and claimed on the other driver s policy 2 years ago. These ****s call me EVERY day, sometimes twice a day, despite me telling them not tonand asking to have my no. removed from their database. They know Ive made some kind of claim. Her insurer MUST have sold my no. illegally (data protection). Sadly i didnt keep the insurer s details.
