Call center, supposed to be calling from Manchester but sound like they come from quite a bit further away.
As with others, been called daily for the last week..answer but phone just goes dead. Do they want us to call back - ie premium/extortionate rate number?? Dont know but wont be calling them!! Time wasters - but no doubt some kind of scam…..
So say called from hmrc. Put the phone down and cut the call .

SCAM Called to offer an iPhone deal and when challenged reduced price by a third and then when I told them what I was paying reduced price to less than a third of the original price including a new phone and air time etc. Too good to be true or just a scam. Caller became abusive when told I didn't trust him

Said she was calling from BT open reach about my internet being hacked. Said she would not ask for any personal or bank details. Asked if I had given my internet password to anyone outside my house. I kept asking her for her details but she then asked me if I had a mobile phone. I knew she was scamming and asked her to shut up for one moment and she then said and you shut up two and then she hung up. This would have been dangerous if I had let her download any app or software to my phone

They rang, not long enough to answer though, more than likely a scam to be honest.
SCAM FRAUD. I got a call from a 07 mobile number prior to this call. Both of them is an automated message saying a letter from HRM Revenue was sent to you but was returned. Legal action will be taken against you, press 1 to bla bla bla. I didn’t even bother to listen to the rest because there is no reason for HRM Revenue to contact me. Lengthy call from man with odd accent - maybe African pretending to be American. Said he had $30,000 of bitcoin to send to me from scammers who had used my ID. I don't trust him, found him hard to understand and I eventually hung up. Seemed dodgy to me.

Man with Asian accent said he was calling from Virgin Media about my internet connection. He said they were having some problems which are affecting my internet connection but the call then disconnected. I've been with Virgin for many years and they've never once phoned me when there's been problems in the past. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my internet connection and I'm convinced that this was a scam call so I'm rating as dangerous.
