An automated female voice that purported to be calling from Amazon telling me that a certain amount of money would be taken by them from my bank account and if I wished to stop this then I needed to press a number on my keypad.
I was called by someone calling himself "Yogi" allegedly from Carphone Warehouse and I renewed my contract through him with Vodafone. The incentive being a substantial cash back deal. The cheques never appeared and Vodafone do not know anything about the deal (so they say). Vodafone are refusing to honour the deal and I have reported them to trading standards and the communications commission as they are saying they cannot see on their system who renewed the contract. Read out to me my name and address and when I confirmed these was going to pass me to her "supervisor" to complete a form. Asked her to tell me what brand of washing machine I've actually got.
