Best cold call ever. I answered, I was asked for by name and I asked who was calling. The fella said AMS Legal so I said I m not interested and put the phone down. They called back straight away and straight off the same person said what are you not insterested in? - I laughed and said are you for real to which he replied yes, very much and you ll never know about the opportunity that you ve just missed out on and hung up. SCAM / SPAM This was an English speaking polite male telling me that the Government funded insulation in my loft could be causing damage to my property and he wanted to arrange a visit to examine it. Fortunately before the call went any further he mentioned the "foam insulation" and when I said it was not foam in my loft he rang off. OBVIOUSLY A SCAM. He didn't get round to asking for bank details but I am sure he would have it I hadn't realised what he was up to.

I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!

CAlled on 001463718462 @10 .03 20th March . No-one spoke but background noise sounded like a call centre. Then a male voice uttered two words "fuck off". Without the double 00 this would be an Inverness number (where I live) with a single ZERO but the double 00 makes it probably from anywhere in the world, So I'lll call it dangerous but "nasty" might be a better description.

My local police community support officer said these stickers have been used by criminals and recommended finding a locksmith through a telephone directory or online. Never call the number on a sticker that has been afixed to your doorbell without permission. If in doubt, contact your local police.

A woman called Sarah from telephone blocking services called my elderly father asking him for bank details, which unfortunately he did give.That bank card has now been stopped. She then called my father 2 more times but threatened him that his BT telephone would be cut off if he he didn’t pay. Its my belief that this is a scam warn other family members not to give out any bank details to cold callers or anyone over the phone!
