Lots of background noise then somebody eventually said Hello then hung up. Did a search on the number and it has been reported on several sites for pretending to be various energy companies.
They had my name & when I asked who was calling the phone went dead. Sounded like a call centre or office.

Supposedly from Microsoft wanting to know if I was the main user of the computer? When I asked why he said they have been getting a lot of notices and that my security software was being corroded. He asked when I'd last used the computer and when I said it was none of his business he said **** off a****** and hung up!

I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!

Automated message saying I was being investigated for tax evasion! and that a warrant had been issued for my arrest by Hmrc. Considering I am a basic paye tax payer, it was clearly a scam. Number blocked.

Fraud , indian female , claiming she was from virgin media, asking if i was aware my broadband would be cut off in a couple of hours as there had been a lot of illegal activity from my account. she hung up after i pushed her to give me information about my account. i am not sure whether it was passwords or payments she was after but she got nada from me and hung up.
SCAM Recorded message that Fraud is committed on your credit card. I pressed 2 to speak to them. I then purposefully tricked them by saying "Is that HSBC?".... "Yes sir", he replied, "HSBC Visa services".... "Oh good" I said, "I don't have any HSBC accounts. Now fuck off and stop stealing".

Gruff sounding guy claiming to be from Vodafone. Knew my name. I’d been chosen to receive better broadband. Didn’t sound like Vodafone customer service at all. Asked if I was the owner of property, could tell he was going to ask for my full details. Which I didn’t give. He got annoyed with me when I didn’t disclose any info. This number continually calls claiming to be Scottish Power, who want payment for a final bill. Every call quotes a different figure due. At no point can they tell you the address to which this scam is referring to, but the do try to get you to confirm your address to them. The become agitated and aggressive once they realise that you know it is a scam.
