I ve received a call on my mobile phone today from 0161 939 0236 telling me that I ve had a loan and I m entitled to a refund plus interest because I was mis sold the loan. In the first place neither my husband or myself have had a loan from our bank or on any credit card. The caller went on to name all the credit cards that I could own and from any bank (naming banks) that I may have had a card or loan from. Also where on earth have these people had my mobile telephone number from. It seems after speaking

Rang 1471 to identify number after call cut off once answered. Then rang number prefixed by 141 and somebody in India answered and, when questioned, indicated that they were marketers. Clearly the number is a ghost number for call display purposes wrongly showing to be an internal UK call

Just had a call from this number, saying they were from the Debt Support Group and that I was due to reduce my outstanding payments on my debt!! When I told them that they were incorrect as I had no debt and I asked where they got my details from, they put the phone down. It really annoys me that these people have not got the decency to tell you where they received the information and give you the chance to ask them to remove your details from their database. Grrrrr!!!!

Was a S. African woman that called me, after I d flagged fraudulent charges on my card, when they d billed me over 30 quid a week after I d cancelled. Absolute SCAM, the company is registered as being dissolved since April 2018 with Companies House, she was aggressive and patronising in her manner, and kept asking if I knew what I was talking about, she only stopped when I told her that my bank was involved and they d found the company had no gambling license as well.

Had a spate of calls over a month ago. Am ex directory and registered with TPS but still get calls. Tried various tactics ignoring, picking up phone and leaving it w/o answering....they got abusive. Calls now restarted, left to answer machine, interesting messages..may now report to police!

This is probably a cloned number claiming to be British Gas. Almost certainly a scam. If you ring it, the menu does not give an option to speak to an advisor. Tell them in your best Anglo-Saxon to go forth and multiply. If the calls persist then call Action Fraud.

Had a phone call from them and they seemed to know some of my personal details (well, as far as my phone number, name and 1st line of my address). I asked them who they were and got the response AAC and nothing more than that. The guy was very evasive and when I asked what the call was regarding was just told it was "sensitive information". I told him he had the wrong number and I hung up. I was involved in a car accident about a year ago so they may well have been ringing about that.

Called three days in a row. Asked for company director by name, who happened to be the person who d answered the call. Then asked if the company has any dept with HMRC and about cash flow. Director stated that cash flow was fine and politely ended the call. Felt untrustworthy. Possibly looking to offer loans etc.

Another automated message left on the answerphone about the Banks having to review their PPI pay-outs. I thought these messages had been outlawed? The number is one digit too sh...

You have been called by IWN - that's what the automated answering machine says.

I ve been on holiday for a couple of days. upon my return if found my answering machine with 26 calles from this number. no one ever speaks.
