I think this is a scam call. Got a phone call offering me loads of different discounts; hotels, supermarkets - you name it. No cost apparently apart from mailing this discount card out to me which is ?1.65. Sounds good, only they said they were from Simply Be - why could this not be added to my account as they wanted to take the ?1.65 from either a debit or credit card.
Turned off after a few seconds after picking it up. Nobody was speaking.
I Got the call twice from this number to my mobile phone within a week. First time its disconnected as soon as I picked the call. Second time someone spoke with me and verified my name by telling the name correctly and asking that have I met with a road accident and claiming. I have replied my name is correct but I didn t met any accident and applying claims. Apparently this number is HMRC and if I don't press 1, a warrant will be issued for my arrest!
Don t respond to any of their questions. They are fishing for information. Spoke to Allan who said it was an accounting company who were passed my details because I had applied for credit online and been rejected. All false.
