This number called me today, has called before and I made an excuse but if they call again I will challenge them as to their authenticity and real purpose for calling.
Called me and said they were from carphone warehouse and they could give me a good deal etc etc, making out I was a customer at carphone warehouse when I’m actually with another provider altogether. Woman was very persistent in keeping me on the phone after I said I’m happy with the deal I have got with ANOTHER provider

Asian sounding that kept repeating some undecipherable phrase then hung up
SCAM. Automated message claiming to be HMRC. Saying they had detected tax fraud in my name, but not mentioning my name, and that I had to press 1 or... at which point I hung up. I would expect if the HMRC were to call me they would ask for me by name.
Telemarketing - called stating they were calling about government funded boiler scheme and asked how old my boiler was. When I replied 5 years I got "right cya" and they hung up. I'm obviously wasting their time...

SCAM claiming to be government help line housing repairs. Scam is to get Yr correct information name dob.. address and ask u for the 2 letter and 2nd 4th letter of your national insurance number then they say it does NOT match put u in fear that if u don't confirm correct details BTW now with NI BUT with 1st letter, 1st 3rd and last letter of NI. Convincing u if it was a scam why hv they not asked for bank details Ah so they can open account with Yr now given credentials.

SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access. When I refused, he assured me it was ok and asked me to type other commands. Through this site I lost control of the mouse and he downloaded files from my PC. At the end of the download the
