Caller claiming to be from Microsoft Yahoo wanted to check something relating to my Yahoo Local business listing that required I was at a computer. I m out of the office so they said they would call back later. Sounds like a scam.

Phone automatically blocked the number but on phoning it back got a very apologetic message basically saying the number had been hijacked by foreign scammers and that the matter was in the hands of ofcom, just block the number and give absolutely no information whatever to them as it could be used for identity fraud.

21 Oct 2021 - This call left a message stating my National Insurance number was under fraud investigation and would be blocked and any assets frozen unless I press 1 and speak to an advisor. My advice would be if anyone even thought it was real to call HMRC first and speak to real authorities.Reply

Had 12 calls from this number in the past 4 days. Hang up as soon as I answer apart form once when a lady answered and said 'I had called her?!

Had a feeling this was ADT, haven t confirmed it but the comments seem to strongly indicate ADT. On top of the 0161 code. Just rang now at 3.19 in the morning, about five to six rings before I d even got to it, and then stopped. fell for these guys too, using another number 02476231293. for western guardian, a company that does exist but it seems don t actually sell any newspapers, did some checks with friends in the newspaper industry and they don t exist. its a scam, fake newspaper website to trick you into thinking they are legit, when asking about distribution numbers and areas they couldn t tell me, went on hold and then reeled off some local place names. everything on their website is password protected so you cant actually r
