Yes this is HSBC. I have an account with them and this was my LOCAL branch calling to make sure I was aware of changes and to ensure I was using the acc correctly. Very pleasant lady and took 5mins of my time. No problem to report.

Claimed to be notifying me about a problem with unpaid national insurance bill and instructs to press one to prevent an automatic charge being made. Ring back gives a permanent engaged sound. SCAM

Ian from some unsolicited energy company telesales asking wanting to speak to the bill payer for the electricity supply. When told we were on the TPS register he kept himself on hold for a minute and said he had reported it to his manager. Well if they were a decent company they should be using the latest TPS register but obviously they are another scamming company flouting ALL the rules. My husband has unfortunately been duped by this company - Clearview partnership. Started with hard sale on Carbon emmisions and he unfortunately has since gone on to invest large sums of money in gems and oil. Portfolio of investment was supposed to go to auction Dec 13. My mother-in-law has just found a charge for ?99.99 on her Barclays statement. I ve just spoken to the bank and they have been 100% helpful and have agreed to refund her ASAP. When mum-in-law initialy went into the bank to query the transaction they told her that it was a holiday company and assisted her to call them. The company told her that they take the view that unless you specifically say otherwise they assume that you want thier services, even though the in-laws had no knowledge of the company. T

i received a call from this number stating my ip address had been compromised could I please confirm my ip address. when I asked who called they hung up.

Constant missed calls for a week. I answered and it was a polite lady from Vodafone trying to sell me something. She knew my name as I am a customer. When I said I was busy she said she will call back another time. This number does not appear on the Vodafone authorised numbers list although it is only one digit out from a lot of their numbers.
