They said they were ringing from AMAZON PRIME and that the sum of £39.99 would be taken to renew my account, and to press 1 to speak to an advisor. I immediately blocked this call as it is a scam. indian guy called today saying he was windows support, said my dad is the registered user of windows, (my dad has never used a pc in his life, had dementia and now is dead) when told to the so called windows guy, he just kept reading from the script, do not give any info to them, its a scam and they will do anything to get your money.

English sounding girl calling from she claimed to be Britains biggest Domestic Insurance company. She put the phone down immediately after I said "Excuse me, who are you?". She knew my name which surprised me. And I say "But, ..." and she put the phone down. No UK Insurance company will cold call you or put the phone down.
I have had missed calls from this number. But when i call back it cancels straight away. Before it gets chance to ring.

Asian/Indian scam caller about cover for sky box. when asked why he was calling ex-directory and TPS registered number he became abusive and rang off. geo-location puts him in middle of Trafalgar Square although he claims he is in Scotland! this is same guy who rang in mid December but then he was using 02037 694278. treat number as dangerous and report it to Ofcom, TPS and ICO

A very friendly guy called me saying he was from Greenpeace after I had signed a Greenpeace petition. He sounded very informative and believable and after a friendly chat he asked me to donate a small amount to Greenpaece. I said I would, and then he started asking me for my bank details so that he could set up a monthly direct debit for me to donate £10 per month. I said I woulld not give details over the phone but he still insisted that I could. I stopped at that point & put down the phone.

Voice at other end said he was calling about a problem with my "Virgin Media broadband". I don't have Virgin Media broadband to told him to piss off!
