They ask for your IBAN number, the name of your bank, your address and then they sent a fake email saying that they have transferred money to your account. Waffled on about global pandemic and making small. I had to ask him twice who he was and what he wanted. Eventually, he said he wanted me to participate in an economic survey. I told him, no thank you, I wasn't interested, he kept trying to talk over me and I hung up. A few seconds later he rang back asking why I hung up. I told him again I'm not interested in whatever it is. He answered back 'not interested in what' getting confrontational. I hung up again.

My husband passed the call to me as it related to my washing machine insurance renewal so I did not hear any name or how the call started. He did rather a hard (and fast) sell with a reduced annual figure but taking 3 years immediately. He seemed to have details of my current annual figure. I checked with D&G who deal with the insurance and they did not recognise the phone number as belonging to anyone working for them.
