I have no idea who they are or what they want but i receive 2 calls a day everyday saying we need to speak with you have blocked several numbers for them now 1 message left said this is a debt relating to my water in northumberland and i have never lived in northumberland and another vm today said its relating to an outstanding parking ticket sounds like a scam will be blocking every call from them and they should be reported to the financial ombudsman

3 phone calls in 3 days from this no. Having searched this site and others to read reports of Windows scams etc. I decided to answer this one. An Asian man asked if I was Miss Christine. I said "Who? Who s calling?" He hung up, I didn t for another 3 minutes, so presumably prevented him from bothering someone else. Reporting to ICO.

We are NOT in any way associated to the people making these calls. They use our name as a cover. We have reported this to the relevant authorities on a number of occasions. Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.

SCAM - Pretending to be Microsoft and they download Anydesk on your PC, run some commands and show you the "threats" on your PC. They then run something that shows banking details and they direct you to go to your online banking so they can assist in fixing your security with your banking. (I am in IT and an elderly customer got tricked by this).
