Automated voice said something about my Amazon prime account. As I don’t even have an Amazon account I believe this is a scam and have blocked the number.
I ve never replied or returned these calls, and there are no messages. Several calls per day sometimes, and they show no sign of giving up. A real nuisance,
I was asked if I live in an industrial or noisy area that had affected my hearing. My reply.... " sorry I can t hear you!" and then put the phone down on them! Not the first call I ve had from this number. Another recent one was about playing the football pools! Call arrived whilst I was in the republic of Moldova. I work with victims of child-trafficking in that region and my number is only used for emergencies from agencies relating to the subject. Consequently, I tried returning the call with several connections, but the call eventually dropped out. When I returned home discovered I still had to pay for the calls at a rate of GBP£1.27 per connection, plus the same cost for having answered the incoming call! Caveat Emptor!
