i was called by this number today i am trying to find out who it is
I was called by someone calling himself "Yogi" allegedly from Carphone Warehouse and I renewed my contract through him with Vodafone. The incentive being a substantial cash back deal. The cheques never appeared and Vodafone do not know anything about the deal (so they say). Vodafone are refusing to honour the deal and I have reported them to trading standards and the communications commission as they are saying they cannot see on their system who renewed the contract. My smart scan came up with potential fraud. Phone only rang a couple of times then cut off. Googled number and its a Liverpool number.
Automated call. Hung up without speaking
Caller who sounded Indian said she was from the telephone preference service and calling to say it had expired as - she was just getting to this - the bank card used had expired. She first asked how the telephone bill was paid. As the service is free I rang off.
Just received a text as if it was a message from the Government to let me know I am eligible for a tax refund. Looks like a scam with a link to use.
21 Oct 2021 - Recorded message to tell me that my NI number had been suspended because of involvement in serious crime and that I should speak to them before I was arrested!Reply

This number called asking about my banking with the royal bank of Scotland ( whom I don’t bank with ) a female with an English accent. When I questioned who she was they hung up.
The person calling from this number was clearly ringing from a call centre and had an Asian name which I didn t catch. He stated that the company name was MTA Solicitors and that he was calling about a recent car accident. This is clearly a scam call as I have not had a car accident.

Unsolicited repeated calls at all times of day claim to be survey for HMRC child benefit asking loads of questions insisting on answers did not give personal details but worried how got name and phone number etc.

when I answer a call from this number, they automatically dial another number which I would no doubt have to pay for if I did not hang up immediately. I hope these kind of calls can be stopped. I have, in the past, been called by the same method and have been charged for a premium rate number.

I missed two calls - the second one today 17/09/16. I looked the number up online - didn t find any comments. Rang the number back - there is a voicemail message that says it is a Market Research company and how to get more information about them. If you did want to speak to them they can be contacted on 01908 278303 - maybe to get your number removed from their list. They do have a website - might give info re how to do this on there. Or block them/don t answer if you are not interested.
I called back and got the msg this number is not recognised, your site shows the call came from the Manchester area, I personally no no one there.
