They claimed the call was to help me claim compo for an accident I had in the last three years as I stated in my insurance application. This is patently not true. They stated I may have ticked this box in error so I checked my proposal document to find this was not the case. Several missed calls from this number over the past few weeks to my mobile, no messages left. Very annoying as this is my private mobile used for outgoing calls, and, more particularly, known only to my wife and daughters for any urgent family calls. Obviously random dialling by the caller.

This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. Received a call today from 01942538691 which is actually a legitimate number from Brook Farm Cattery in Wigan. Only problem is the people who phoned me were Indian speaking and said they were from UK Benefits, PHYSHING for information in pretense of dong a survey, the information of which they then sell on to other companies and you end up getting bombarded with other unwanted calls.

The caller knew I was involved in an accident and said he was instructed by the other party s insurer to pay out ?1000 for a non fault accident. He asked for my personal details and details of the accident. I refused to give my DOB and he said I should get receive an email. He then mentioned I would be unable to call this number but gave an alternate no. to call i.e. 01273 660 457 if I had any questions
Insisted I had been in an accident and became abusive when I said I had not and asked where they had got this info from and asked them to remove my number from their system
Somehow used a local dial code previously which I blocked then tried to call on this number

This number comes from Maidstone, I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. Have missed calls from them on my mobile, was trying to dig some info on the internet before calling them back, but found nothing - probably some insurance marketing call. People pls did someone answer this number, who is it?
Be very cautious. This number rang me and activated the voicemail, but it was just silent. There is an "events management" website that invites you to call "Lindsay on this number" for further information, but when I tried to click on "contact" Norton immediately sprung into action and blocked is as being a "fake web page".
