I've just kept one of their team talking for 12 minutes, saving others from being called by this scam! They claim to be "Road Traffic Management" and that they can get you additional compensation for a RTA you've had. They also claim to have got your details from the MIB (Motor Insurance Database), but when pushed they claim that all they were given was your phone number and the fact that your vehicle had been in an accident in the last five years that wasn't your fault. The calls are not from Manchester; the scammers cam spoof any number they like.
SPAM they state from LD marketing - but company doesn't exist. Rang up saying I agreed to a marketing campaign and owe them £300 for schools. No record of this. SPAM!!

This number called 4 times on 2 consecutive days starting 11/01/2023. No message left on answer machine. Unable to block because Vonage indicates 'number invalid'. Number may be spoofed?

Despite me telling them the same each time they call-- that I am not interested in trading on stock markets, and have not traded for over 20 years!! Today they claimed that--as a colleague had called me a few months ago-somehow that uninvited cold call meant that I was interested!...bizarre! Today I pointed out to David Grant -that they were being confirmed-by someone selling them old/obsolete

Got a call from this number on my mobile. Said I d been in an accident. No I haven t. I reckon they just dial numbers at random. I say this because only my family know my mobile number and I won t give it out to ANYONE else. They didn t even know my name or where I was from or where the accident happened or what car I was supposed to have been driving or what time of day or the date it was supposed to have happened. I recieved a ohone call from this number, I checked the numberchec w it 174, but when I called it, I was told there was no such number.
I jsut had a call from a sweet man give me this whole spiel about Great Ormand Street Hospital. I know great hospital etc. In the end I didnt donate because i am not in the position to financially, otherwise he nearly had me there. Other threads on the net suggest that this was a hoax. I am not sure. People be aware..but don t forget to care!
