British Gas. calling me for months. First from Manchester. Got apology. then it starts again. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BRITISH GAS. SCAM Automated message telling me it was HMRC and there was a fraud case against me, that I must press 1 immediately otherwise I would be arrested shortly. I assume pressing 1 would have taken me through to a high charge phone number or something similar. Very unsettling, and could easily catch the less savvy off guard.

Claimed that HMRC were filing a lawsuit against me and I was to press 1 to speak to my caseworker. Number now blocked even though we’re registered with TPS.
Got a phone call from this number today. Sounded like automated speech saying that our BT connection would be terminated today unless we pressed certain key(s). Put the phone down.
