SCAM received call today 16th Nov 2020. A recorded message from Amazon. I hung up instantly and blocked number as I keep getting same call from different numbers re non-payment of Amazon Prime and threatening legal action. I blocked the number.
I Reported this number to talktalk. , they are scammers. And got abusive when I told them police were involved.

SCAM This started out as a text asking if i was Anna. They werent sure they had the right No. I said no it wasnt. They then initiated a conversation which soon led to them asking for personal info. They gave me this No, saying it was their company No and i could join their private Whatsapp so we could exchange photos. When I started asking about what they said was their home town, they stopped replying...unsurprisingly. The No they were texting from is a deffinate scam No, so this No is likely dangerous

This grouping of numbers is ridiculous! I started researching this number and it returned spam, so no, I don't need to hear what they have to say! If I fail to answer once, they'll immediately try to call again. When I don't answer, I block. Then they'll ring on a slightly different number in the coming days with the same tactics. Clear scam. Do not answer. Claim to be VISA checking if a £600 online purchase is valid. Asks you to press 1 to talk to an adviser. Not sure what would happen if you pressed 1 but it would not be good. Same automated call received earlier in the day from a totally different number.

I got a text from what looked like my bank (Santander), saying a lot of money was being taken from my account. It gave this number 03333443057 to call. I called, and they answered HSBC ! I said I thought I was calling Santander, they said I work for both banks (yeah, right!). I said let me have your name and department, I ll call my bank and ask to be put through to you, at which point they promptly hung up.

Had a feeling this was ADT, haven t confirmed it but the comments seem to strongly indicate ADT. On top of the 0161 code. Just rang now at 3.19 in the morning, about five to six rings before I d even got to it, and then stopped. Alarm not going off, and it is for our house so would like to know why they rang in the wee hours when we re sleeping.
SCAM. I am getting a lot of practice in ignoring these calls. I am getting very fed up with the amount I get. Still, good practice for my patience levels.

Unwanted call, when I phoned back it was GID. apparently Life insurance. Never heard of them before today.
Basically they re a fishing company, poorly-paid scammers doing blanket cold calling asking "have you had an accident in past 3 years" (citing they have bogus "information at hand") until, inevitably, someone says "yes". Cue then a selling job about how they can claim compo for you (for a % price). Not a scam; just a sad reflection of compensation culture and call-centre mentality. Hang up immediately; or if you want to be arsey, engage person in pointless conversation (though it isn t really his/her fault)
