I was called by this number and the very rude guy tells me he s from EMCAS. I immediately tell him that I m not interested, where says he is not interested either, and hangs up. Every day since then we have received silent nuisance phone calls. I m preparing to make a statement to the police and trading standards.

I just had a call from them & never picked it up. Assuming from all the comments on here, it sounds like it is Vodafone trying to get hold of the owner of all new phones to either check the service is ok or to check something else. Have had several calls from this number - 01618500044 - they say they are a company called RECLAIM FINANCE. I have never taken out finance so cannot be owed any compensation?! When I,ve got a free minute I bombard these parasites with dead calls by withholding my own number see how these oiks like it! Got a call this morning from a lady. I could hardly understand a word she was saying. Thick accent and slow sounding voice. I repeatedly apologised for not being able to understand and asked her to repeat herself. She hung up.
