Claimed to be from Vodafone, offering a 40% discount on my monthly bill, before proceeding to ask me what my monthly bill was. I hung up. Clearly a scam, which sounds like it's coming from India.

I got a call this a recorded message saying that it was from HMRC and they had sent a letter to me which had been returned to them and they were about to start a prosecution against e and I should press the 1 keg to speak to an agent. call from this number claiming to be Bank Security saying there had been two transactions on my account. One for £700 for Amazon and the other for £2k on an international money transfer. Absolute scam. Probably not the real number.
They cut themself off mid-sentence after what sounded like someone shouting. Very heavy Indian accent.
Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!

The man with a distinctly foreign accent said that he was from a Broadband provider that uses the 4G network £25 a month for 18 months. But what put me off was as soon as he had finished his schpeel he asked without prompt for my bank details. I said I would get back to him next week when I had done some research into the company.

phone call from 01270 102970 to home landline at 1645pm 12/01/2023. Caller had foreign accent . Caller said he was from Sky Assurance as our insurance on our TV is about to expire and offered me various deals at various costs to renew. I have never heard of Sky Assurance, and we do NOT currently have any insurance policy covering our TV. When I asked the caller where he was based , he hung up!

It’s a scam! Told me they had noticed an unusual amount for £1100.00 had been taken from my account.
