Scammers claiming to be from HMRC, An automated message will say you are being investigated and that if you do not press 1 to speak to us a warrant will be issued for your arrest. As a registered agent myself I had some fun with them but do not give any personal details out as they are not HMRC.
Called by a Welsh lady saying they were handing out free grants for loft insulation -- did I have loft insulation? I immediately smelt a rat & asked who was calling. She simply said "a grant company". I asked what their name was. She was very evasive but eventually said "Nationwide Energy." I asked what their address was but said she didn t know(!). ALLAY CLAIMS - right lot of fraudulent bast**ds, scammers, thieves & extortionists. Look them up on www.trustpilot.com as well as lots of other websites. They forge signatures on documents and then try to extort money claiming the signed document is original. Best bet is put in complaints to all the toothless regulators and hope enough others do the same and maybe someone will take them off the financial systems. Maybe time for lighting the blue touchpaper.....!!!!!
