Some person claiming to be from o2 offering me a 40% discount on my monthly phone bill.......due to covid 19!!!! I played along for a couple of minutes & they sent text message codes which someone could genuinely assume was from o2 as they had security warnings advising not to give the code out etc but when I said I was going to run her through some security questions & asked her the 1st line of my address they hung up. Scam call purportedly from bank advising of fraudulent credit card transactions which they are blocking. The caller wants you to input a code which they text to you. DO NOT DO SO. If you do they will, no doubt, get access to your account. I put a block on the call number via my mobile phone provider and sent an email to the bank's security dept informing them of the scam.

Unlike the preceding reports of nuisance calling, someone from this number just tried on a criminal scam with me, which I quickly recognised from a prior attempt a couple of years ago: Offer of a "refund" of ?2000 compensantion of a Barclays loan mis-selling - all nonsense, as I havent had any kind of loan in years. The scam is that you will get ?2000 couriered to you, but you have to write some kind of money order to make it all happen - I didnt give them time to give all the details, as I soon recognised
