Recorded message said it was HMRC, and I am committing a fraud and I must press option 1 immediately or it would lead to my arrest! Well didn’t press option 1, and I have not been arrested yet!
SCAM A little pause before anyone said anything ...suspect it was redirected from a local number to a call centre then the The good old “ it is from ( inaudible) ..you reported a minor car accident a while ago “ Hung up when I was not playing ball ...but the scary bit was that they already knew my Surname , so definitely a leek of info somewhere ..Dangerous !

Best advice I can give is BLOCK BLOCK BLOCK the muppets. They disputed my PPI Claim as they offer Repayment Option, only changed the name in 2008 so got company sorting it now. Had my card 11 years so know I m owed thousands & Im not payin em a penny more till sorted. My hubby paid approx 680 over 7 years on his natwest & got ?2,196 back. It s worth checking everyone, we couldn t believe it as his limit was only ?800 & a business card. Good luck & keep blocking...

Automated/Silent call. One of a series of calls from mobile numbers starting 077 in the space of a few days. Answered first call, where automated voice said "Your Amazon Prime membership has just been renewed at a cost of £79.99. If you want to cancel this payment, press 1". This number has called several times. They either ask for someone who doesn’t live here or just hang up when I answer. They won’t leave a message if the calls go to answerphone. Harassing calls. I’ve reported it to OFCOM.

When called there is an American voice recorded message "Your call is very important to us. Please stay on the line & you will be transferred to next available agent..." It then plays music while caller holds. Long wait times, if you get connected to the agent. This seems to be a growing trend with different numbers continually changing. Potential fraud or scam.
