This was a genuine call and text (very badly written, and call included a poorly recorded computerised message, so I am not surprised people are suspicious!) I double checked it was genuine by calling through HSBC Premier to be transferred. The fraud detection system had flagged a transaction I had tried to make online as suspicious. It was in fact genuine and they have reset the card accordingly. Glad they are on the ball, but the messages could be much better written/recorded.
