Who or what is this number which has just appeared on my phone?

Had an asian gent call me with the name Thomas.....:P :P Clearly a call routed from Asia through a call router, asking for personal information about your location and lifestyle.

Call from sky (obviously it wasn t them) telling me I was using a Sky Dish, asking my age etc and then hung up - Odd seeing as Sky is in my partners name and not mine. Obvious phishing expedition.

They purport to be a government agency refunding bank fees. My belief is that they are scammers.

This number calls me on a regular basis. But I never get anyone answering.

Simplest way to deal with these annoying people. If the number isn t in my contacts, I don t answer the call. If they really want to speak to me, they ll leave a message.

I have never given this land line number out as I rarely use it for telephone calls and already have had scam callers pretending to be from microsoft trying to get me to switch computer on to defraud me.

This is NOT a trustworthy caller. They are pretending to be a Windows Technical Centre. It is a SCAM. (Re-reported as I misunderstood the rating previously)

Don t trust these people they are criminals they want to take all my money with nothing in return. Contacted the authorities but they do not want to know. What does that tell you about this country that these people are allowed to do such atrocities

After all the complaints, it beggars belief that these scammers are still using the same phone number and not been arrested. We are a computer repair business and have 2 telephone lines. Got a call on line 1 from the scammer (Asian male) who announce that my computer had problems!!! He was told in no uncertain terms to do something rather harmful to himself. Voice mail form this number claiming they are form police. Saying there is a warrant for my arrest. It is a Recorded message but is really well spoken. Definately a scam as HMRC only communicates via the portal or registered post
