The caller did not understand what I meant when I said I had registered for TPS and insisted that he was no trying to sell anything. Claimed to be a “Michael Fernandez” from Windows Technical Department.He told me that there has been a corruption with my computer and that he has to resolve it for me and started to give me directions on where to navigate on my pc. I stopped him and asked what exactly the problem was and he said it was something to do with the RAM and hardware and that if he doesn’t help me it will cause me major problems. I asked him for his number (0161 818 2022) - no answer naturally.

Scammers!!!! They called my grandmother regarding a PPI claim, telling her in order to claim she would need to put £400 on a travel card (this was their agency 'commission' apparently), and they would come to her home (beware, they already knew her address) to exchange the travel card for her "PPI compensation cheque". Thankfully we've taught her well and she called me first to ask if I thought it was a scam.
