I have been called several times yesterday back to back from firstly a London number twice, then twice from private number and this one today. They all start by saying am I ****** when I ask who they are they mumble something then ask me if I own or rent my property. The person who called today was female and I could actually understand what she said, except for the initial mumble. The first two London calls where listed as suspected spam, however, some of calls in this category have been bona fide.

I called Barclays on 03457 345 345 only to be told this numbers has switched to 0345 600 45 40. I called this number and followed the exact same instructions that you would normally be asked only something didn't feel quite right about it. I called back the 03457 345 345 number which worked this this time and spoke to a gentleman on the Fraud team who advised me this was not one of their numbers and this was most definitely a fraud attempt.
