This guy claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service but I recognised his voice from 3 calls last week, during the last of which he told me to F*** Off because i called him out. Always a different landline phone number. I know a lot of STD codes as i have worked in (genuine) sales for 40 years. Different codes, different parts of the country, same voice claiming to be from BT Openreach. On this occasion, when he said he was from the TPS and just replied "And?" and he hung up.

Asked for me by name on a business line which is CPR listed so legally should not receive any unsolicited sales or marketing calls. They introduced themselves as "Crime Prevention Officers" looking into recent spate of burglaries in area and gave the impression they were connected to the police if not actually officers.
