Obvious call centre noise background noise as soon as I answered, with a delay before anyone responded. The caller had an extremely strong Asian/Indian accent and told me his name was Paul Simon (yeah, right!) calling from Norfolk County Council about a recent accident I d had. I told him I hadn t been involved in an accident, he said it must have been a family member (I live alone, but didn t tell him that), I repeated that he was wrong and asked who he thought had been in the accident. Illiegal activities. Asking if you had any accidents and pass you over to their supervisor (call transfere) to National Accident Helpline. ILLEGAL CLAIMS SELLING. lots of fancy words, like Motor Insurance Bureau,Motor Insurance Database etc. FRAUD!!! Beware

I received a call from a man with a very strong accent claiming to be from BT to help speed up our broadband. The fact that he greeted me saying ?hi I?m Martin? then 5 minutes later told me his name was John Wilson, was a huge red flag. I can confirm that this is a scam call number as I called the real BT to confirm the number was not affiliated with them. Do not give out any information or allow these scammers access to your computer!

They would not give any information out over the matter or even give me my own door number or year of birth - my check to see if it is a cold call. I gave her a mouth full hopefully ruining her day - great stress relief people :)
