SCAM - This is a call from the National Insurance Number Authority, fraud has been detected at the border with Wales (needless to say I've been isolating for a year at home, which is nowhere near Wales) and if you don't press 1 now, we will take legal action against your national insurance number. Lady answered, hung up, I called back, a guy answered and denied ever calling me. Blocked as spam on my phone.

Believe it to be a scam as they did not identify me or give appropriate details about my account before they went into their 'rant'. I was hard at work concentrating on what I was doing when interrupted by this number calling me. I did not answer. When I investigated later Google associated it with Fed-Ex tracking service. Puzzled, I called it back, only to get a recorded message saying it was a research agency. I think fraudsters hi jack a genuine number but unrecognised to you and use it to divert you to a recorded message about your national insurance number being used and stolen. If you disconnect and call the number back the genuine holder of the number answers and is bewildered
