they rang and said they were a emergency service who have been trying to contact me. so i paniced and rang all my elderly family members to check on their welfare. what organisations try to pass themselves off as emergeny services, only bad ones

Bunch of A holes calling them selves a legal company. that say you had an accident recently is that right?. If you ask them a question back they hang up.

Called our TPS registered number yesyerday trying to sell their accountancy services. The female caller became rude and agressive when told the number was TPS registered and I ended the call. Despite knowing the number was TPS registered she (or another woman) called again today. Clearly they have no respect for others.

Scam trying to sell house & appliance insurances, by making false comments about that royal mail returning unopened mail containing the application forms,the man telephone became very rude & abusive when I called him a liar.They call themselves Homecare.The real Homecare is British Gas.

Attempted to enrol me on a low price phone and broadband scheme. An obvious scam. Why are they always Asian?

Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.

Knew my name. So "Sorry he s not here just now, can I pass on a message?" Yes I could. It was about "unfreezing my pension".
