The company seems to be based in 3rd Avenue, New York, NY 10022 and there calls are about a documented takeover scam where they say a 3rd party wants to buy your worthless penny shares and need a bond. They rang us up claiming there was a money withdrawal from one of my parents' bank cards or £8000, even though after checking no withdrawals were made.

Fraud SCAM Cold call. Indian voice asks you to give long card number as some payment at some time "did not go through". I remember no such occasion with an Indian agent, and if this does happen with any other, they immediately check and enter the card number again and it does go through. I said I can't just give my card number to an unknown caller for an unknown transaction, and the agent said he would get their lawyers to deal with me. I have blocked the number.

Automated Call ? Young male voice saying they're from Insulation Advisory Services, trying to get you to have a loft insulation survey. It's a clever automated system, that listens for you to say something in response to it's questions , but it is unable to react properly to your random questions. It fails the "Turing Test", but that doesn't make it any less annoying. They've phoned me 4 times in the last 2 days so far.
