If they ask for your postcode, refuse to tell them. Also refuse to give your number, or any other information about yourself. Simply state over and over again that they are required to consult the TPS website before calling any number. Absolute lot of rubbish. Told them they should live a better life and not lie to people. They hung up.

Phoned to say we are BT, and we are replacing your copper wires to fibre in your area, as soon as I said we already have fibre to the premises, they hung up, suspected scam call.
Automated voice said it was the office of national crime (or something to that effect) and that they'd have to suspend my national insurance number. Hung up at that point.
Fraud said my credit card had been used which it had not so hung up.

SCAM: First of all, an automated male voice saying ' Hello, Customer, an ipad has been added to your Amazon account'. The taped message was poorly recorded and there were several breaks and skips in it. It played 3 or 4 times continuously before I ended the call. I didn't wait for the end of the message. I don't have, or ever have had, an Amazon account. Supposedly calling from Wolverhampton.

Normally they offer to renew at a discount if you give them your card details. NEVER give out personal details or bank details to anyone who phones you.
