I was told they were from O2 and had an offer on for 30% off the next bill. I was being transferred to the bill department so put the phone down and straight away was called by another "fraudulent" number. I didn't answer.
Tried the number with a 141 prefix to hide it - dead number; tried it without the prefix - dead number! 01548 536528 - what sort of number is it as I have nothing to give them....

BT scam call source, the usual "fault with/unusual activity on your broadband" scam
SCAM, automated voice saying we have received two transactions on your bank account, funny how it’s always a payment to Amazon and an international bank transfer, for same amounts as last four times they’ve called. TOTAL SCAMMERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO BLOCK.
Caller asked for me by name, then hung up when I confirmed who I was.

Indian man, after giving an English name,says he is calling from BT Technical Dept.I know that there is no such Department within the BT organisation!!I said goodbye and put the phone down!! It is High time BT themselves did something about this type of call as it has been going on for a very long time.Do not be fooled, it is a SCAM which potentially will relieve you of large amounts of your money!!

Often recieve calls claiming to be from Royal Sun Alliance. RSA are MOTABILITY insurer and we are being targetted for a very minor incident while our MOTABILITY car was stationary/parked/empty off road!Unwelcome, uninvited, disconcerting as related calls can be aggressive. Fraud. Personally, they told me a payment was attempted and that if it wasn't me I should click a link. Its not an official link or contact. Don't click the link. And if you did get in contact with your bank immediately.
Internet - Claimed to be calling from open reach to assist with poor upload / download speeds claiming it was due to my router but they didn't even know what router I had! I explained that if they wanted to find the problem that they should send an engineer to the telephone pole opposite where the cover had been off for about 12 months and where the wires were open to the elements. I hung up before the lady could offer to sell something to put it right !
I hate picking up calls from numbers that I dont know. Turns out this was my Dad calling from a payphone at Heathrow airport as his mobile wasn't working, whoops.
