These calls use spoofed numbers and originate outside the UK. Just block the number if you have the facility. TPS is useless against these calls.

Sitting at home, ill after being sent home from work, I receive a call from these clowns. Starts babbling on about how they can reduce my "debt" by 70% before I d even had the time to draw breath. I told the little gimp that I was registered with the TPS, he replied "I ll just check that". I replied "no need to check little boy I m telling you and I m also telling you to not call me again otherwise I ll report you". Parasitic nuisances how I wish I could send 50,000 volts down the receiver.

Called saying there were problems with the coding on our website and would we like a free report? I asked if it was to do with SEO and she sheepishly replied that it was. I politely declined.

this number called 5 times yesterday , no idea of the caller as it only rang 4 times then disconected

Retarded call system means you wait a while to have the "agent" speak to you. Rude staff, the typical rubbish ambulance chasing type. Report to the ICO, this practice is bad enough without having a two bit con firm deliver these calls at a very low standard even for this industry, should be closed down.

I've experienced the same problem.

Looked like a London number so picked up as thought it was a work call. The caller, who insisted on calling me "luvvie", told me it was about the life policy on my house??!! Told her I wasn t interested, but have received another call this morning (ignored).

It was to do with my banking contract to help improve my banking package deal ie IF you pay for a premium banking service IE Lloyds Gold where in paying a monthly fee for your account they offer you various insurance packages the twit who phoned me was trying to tell me he was going to improve on my current offer!! Female caller claiming to be checking if I was still receiving unwanted calls. Confirmed name and address as this can be generally obtained. However, started asking about credit card details. I replied that she was asking too many personal questions which TPS would not do and hung up.

Female caller said I d had a bump 3 years ago according to their records which had come up on my insurance renewal. Load of rubbish - I ve not had an accident for over 20 years! Told her this and she just went "oh" so I hung up. Would have liked to see where this was going (their phone bill, not mine!) but I didn t have the time.

Came up as international then with an obvious spoof copycat area number. Glasgow isn t international if you are in Scotland. Not a problem- now blocked all international numbers using call blocker. Phone is on do not disturb 24/7 so if you aren t recognised then you don t get through. Heads I win, tails I win.
