I ve been called by this number 2 afternoons running - I let the answer-phone pick up yesterday but no-one spoke. I picked up today and after a long silent pause I hung up as it sounded like an autodialler at work.

This is a scam number, and probably all numbers 023821464**. Asian sounding voice said he was from "Amazon Fraud Department" and that my account had been compromised (I don't have an Amazon account). He quoted, correctly both my mobile number and my house phone number. Told me that the account would be frozen. claimed to be from O2 as I have acontract with them. I don t. Tried to sell me a sim even though I said a year left. Pressed them on why they couldn t tell me the usage but he bluffed his way though it.
This number has called 4 times today and 4 times yesterday. Tried calling it back but it doesn't answer.
It seems this company is now acting on a new name of pre UK using the same telephone number. These arseholes are also calling my work place. How are they still getting away with it after all these complaints???? Surely something permanent must be done to stop them!!!! I really need them to stop calling my work place as my boss is not happy and its a new job. What can I do that will actually work??
