SCAM / SPAM said they were from Visa Headquarters and that a payment of £600 had been made on my Barclaycard. I don’t have a Barclaycard and when I suggested this they hung up. It was an Indian man and the phone number is a Rugby code.

I recieved a call from a company introducing themselves as Energy Helpline and stated that they were looking to help me out on my Home Phone and Broadband bills. They convinced me to switch to another provider and that I had to pay an amount upfront for an activation fee? Is this normal? Then they stated they had a power cut as soon as I gave those details and they then had to ring me back? Sounds suspicious if you ask me, it has been an hour now. What is happening???

I answered, a man was on the other end, claimed to be a part of a pension plan scheme, I never paid to on, opted for one, nor did my previous employer contributed to one on my behalf, told the man this in answer to his questions, he thanked me for my time and said bye.
