The caller on this number claimed I was the subject to a criminal investigation by HMRC. I was invited to press button 1 or button 2 to hear more. I understand that doing this would connect me to a premium rate line.

This number rang me on 29/10/20 with an automated message about trying to send an amount from a visa credit card. I hung up straight away as i knew this was a scam call.

Phone scam call - tells you they are from BT/ Ofcom and your broadband is being hacked from someone in Mountain View California. Gets you to lookup "1p address" on google to "prove" this (which is nonsense). Then to access deskroll.com so he can remote access your computer. I led him on a bit to find out what would happen, then told him what i thought of him... so he swore at me and put the phone down! lol

Fraud An automated voicemail claiming they were from HMRC and investigating a claim and if I didn't essentially call back I would be arrested. Laughable at best. Don't pickup or call back! Another family member received a similar call and message a few days ago. Block and warn others.
When asked where he got my number from I explained it was ex-directory He told me to F off and called me a N Head!!Would love to meet this caller and know the company he works for.
Received 5 calls in the last 24 hours from these horrible people. Even when they were told that the person involved in the accident had died they still kept calling and asking to speak to him. Totally disgusted.

Received call from Indian sounding male, call centre environment. Said other people had been using my router. He did NOT ask to confirm my name address, account etc. I asked him many questions as I new it was a scam. He asked me to go to my computer. Claimed to be phoning in respect of an accident 2 years ago. When asked which company they were he said he was not calling from a company but from the Claims Team that works with a lot of insurers. Asked him who paid his wages. Eventually he hung up. Scam from top to bottom.
