Someone rang my 80 year old neighbour stating they were from the inland revenue and she owed three thousand pounds tax she told them her son would ring them back tomorrow as she was hard of hearing she took this phone no then she said thank you I will ring the police now the person on the other end said you better not and put the phone down Lucky my neighbour had the sense to ignore this call beware

SCAMMER: Indian, female voice said that there had been illegal activity on my internet line. Said she was from BT and that somebody had conducted illegal activity and it was recorded on their server. Played a long for a little while then let the scamming witch know what she is.
SCAM - The person contacts in order to buy things sold online. They ask for your IBAN number, the name of your bank, your address and then they sent a fake email saying that they have transferred money to your account. You just have to send the item and email the receipt to the provided email address and then your money will be transferred. Don't fall for the trick.

Automated call telling you if you don't attend court your national insurance number will be suspended, although no name of which court.. then the automated message tells you to call another number to "resolve" the issue, where someone is ready and willing to take all your personal details and bank card details, and wipe out your bank to resolve an issue that only turning up at an un-named court could previously do. SCAM do not fall for this. HMRC would never contact you this way.

The individual announced themselves as Alpine Group but having recently received a call from another similar number last week, I told the female caller to STOP THERE! then hung up. Got the same call like everyone else. As a trained insurance expert with 25 years experience, I asked them for the date of the accident (having not had an accident in the last 10 years) but they didn t know. I asked which company they were calling from and they said they were calling as they were my insurers. I asked them the name of the insurers and they hung up. I am sick and tired of dealing with claims brought by ambulance chasers such as this. Compensation culture at its finest.
