I asked how they have my number and she said from a shared database of all UK providers, although this would seemingly breach GDPR for sharing customer's contact details and wouldn't make sense for the businesses to risk losing customers this way. Came in a scam email pretending I'd ordered a camera from Target Inc. for £129.99 via PayPal. This is the "customer service number" you have to call to cancel the order. Hovering over the email address (Laverne D Lee) reveals it's from [email protected]

3/5/23 This phone number is highly risky. A man with a heavy accent who is barely audible through a crackling line purports to call 'about your computer'. When challenged that this is a scam - the caller became agitated and talked over me. I put the phone down. He called back and started shouting that I had nor right to call it a scam. I told him to get off the line or I would call the police. He said he didn't care about the police. I put the phone down. This Is a SCAM. A very distressing experience.
