Never call unknown numbers back as you may be calling a Premium Rate or International number masked by a spoofed UK number which could be a very expensive call.

Had a call from 07894865338 from someone asking for me by name and claiming to be from the Citizens Advice. I thought he was saying he had been contacted because I had reported a dead person, I asked him to repeat it, which he did. His accent was very thick and from seeing this site I think he was trying to say I had reported a debt problem !!! He hung anyway...

Sounded like a call centre. Name of Kayley with a London accent. About extending warranty on my washing machine. My correct name and address was quoted but no specifics regarding make or when washing machine was bought. She didn't identify which agency she represented.

This company is one of the most helpful financial solutions companies i have ever spoken to. I have been reccommedmbed to them by several people for an iva and they have saved my life. Cold called me said they were the Hearing Clinic in Derby asked if l worked in a noisy industry took my details Rang back to book a home hearing test. Next day rang again to book hearing Test with no record of me By now l am suspicious l rang them and asked them to bring up my details on their computer but couldn t do that because they were using the phone. I rang again and asked them where they were, they said Carlisle, l told them the last time l rank this number they were in Derby. reply was sorry sir

Answered the call and it was a civil servant helping me with my benefit payments. Perhaps others would rather not hear from the DWP(!) but if you re expecting a call as I was then it s probably best to accept it.

Keeps ringing and hanging up! Be very carefull people block this number!!

Had a call saying they had been passed my file about a traffic accident I d had in the last two years. I said "ok". He said "is that right?". I said "you tell me mate. It just sounds like you re fishing". The guy must have known I was on to him. He laughed and hung on me.

Had a miss call from this company i rang the number and i got an answer service saying they where calling about a possible PPI claim, I think they are called Crookshak and Green.

do not trust this number they claim they call from hmrc but when you call back and ask a few details they put the phone down on you
