PPI company, number showed up as based in Macclesfield. Never needed to look into PPI so they had no reason to call me. Just a company who has no doubt bought a list of data to harass people.

Indian man, after giving an English name,says he is calling from BT Technical Dept.I know that there is no such Department within the BT organisation!!I said goodbye and put the phone down!! SCAMMERS - PLEASE DONT FALL FOR IT! Had a call from this number claiming to be from “my bank” - they didn’t mention the name of the bank, I should have thought to ask as I don’t think he knew. Said he wanted to check that an online payment of £2500ish this morning was really made by me. Of course it wasn’t. He wanted me to get my bank card and check the phone number on the back (think the next step would have been to ‘put the phone down’ so I could dial my bank, yeah right).
